I am an integrative clinical psychologist, with my practice drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches including Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness and systemic approaches. My knowledge of these approaches enables therapy to be personalised and tailored to your individual needs. My aim is to empower you to meet your goals, build on your strengths and improve your quality of life.
My approach is warm, creative, and compassion-focused. I understand the importance of establishing a respectful and safe environment for working together. I value collaboration and trust within my private practice with you at the centre of your therapy.
I have over a decade of experience and am skilled at treating a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, brain injury, interpersonal and relational difficulties, as well as psychosis. I am also passionate about supporting people through challenging life transitions for example becoming a new parent or starting retirement. My area of specialism is working with trauma, from single event trauma to multiple traumatic experiences over one’s lifetime. My experience includes working with military trauma (within the Ministry of Defence as well as with veteran charities), trauma in healthcare settings and traumatic grief.
As a senior clinical psychologist working in the NHS I enjoy supervising trainee and qualified healthcare practitioners, as well as lecturing on university psychology programmes.
I work out of Petersfield.
